The CPUSA Platform outlines the basic philosophy of the Party. It provides true
conservatives with political guidelines to create a strong support base that allows them
to formulate genuine conservative agendas and articulate those views to the American
people.  CPUSA then creates the political environment that will encourage its members
to run for elected office and populate the halls of State legislators and the U.S. Congress.

FOREIGN POLICY

  • The primary responsibility of a President is to protect the American
    people against all enemies - foreign and domestic. The War on
    Terror implemented by the Bush Administration must continue by all
    legal means at our disposal. This includes the use of extraordinary
    rendition, the enhanced interrogation of terrorist suspects and
    warrant less wiretaps within FISA guidelines.
  • The United States must not withdraw combat troops from Iraq or
    Afghanistan until stable governments are functioning.
  • The US must stop Iran's nuclear weapons programs by any
    diplomatic, economic and military means necessary.  It must also
    support any nation which supports that goal, including Israel.
  • The US Government must use all legal means to protect our borders,
    halt illegal immigration, deport illegals aliens who are caught and
    fully prosecute companies that hire them.

DOMESTIC POLICY

  • No federal or state funds should be used to provide health care, social services and education
    benefits for illegal aliens or their children....except in emergency cases.
  • Sanctuary cities should lose Federal funding.  Period    
  • English should be the official language of the United States. Local states and the Federal
    Government should enact laws that reflect that principle.   
  • A comprehensive Energy Policy, driven by private industry, must include wind and hydro
    power, clean coal technologies, domestic and near offshore oil drilling (including ANWAR), and
    realistic, economically viable conservation programs.
          - The "Cap and Trade" legislation must opposed. It is a jobs killer and a severe tax burden     
             on US companies.
          -  Nuclear power is a viable option and should be encouraged when technically feasible.    
  • Responsible anti-pollution laws must be enacted and enforced.  Private industry and the free
    capital markets should drive the "Green" technology industries supplemented by limited local and
    Federal tax incentives.
  • The United States did not cause global warming and climate change.
  • Except in the case of rape, incest or to save the life of the mother, abortions should be
    discouraged.
           - Late-term abortions are considered murder.
           - When and if approved by parents, Birth Control should be taught in high schools.
  • Marriage is between one man and one woman. Gay marriage or civil unions must be rejected all
    levels.
  • "Don't Ask-Don't Tell" policy must be vigorously enforced; Gays/Lesbians serving openly in
    the US military will be opposed.

FISCAL POLICY

  • The Bush tax cuts must be made permanent.   
  • “Earmarks” and other Sub Rosa spending practices by both parties must be stop.
  • The U.S. Government must be fiscally responsible and not practice de facto socialism without
    clear exit strategy for returning to a free market system.
